Anyway, while I was getting my nails done there was this older lady getting a pedicure. She would not stop talking – and she talked very loudly! One of the girls that works in the salon is pregnant – about 5 months, give or take. The pedicure lady (I’ll call her Crazy Lady) was asking this woman how come she didn’t have maternity clothes yet. That took some nerve considering the woman had on a real cute fitted pregnancy top. Crazy Lady went on to say that “women today don’t buy maternity clothes”. For some reason she thinks that a pregnant woman can wear normal fitted tops. My sister just had a baby in September and even though her tops were fitted they had to be maternity or she couldn’t fit into them. Crazy Lady couldn’t handle the fact that today women have cute clothes choices when pregnant and they aren’t forced to wear huge sacks anymore. Crazy Lady just didn’t get it. It is possible to be pregnant or nursing and have hip clothes. Today’s nursing bras allow women to breast-feed indiscreetly and comfortably. Fashion for pregnant and nursing women has come so far – even since I had my daughter 10 years ago. It is a much needed improvement, irregardless of Crazy Lady’s opinion. For the past couple of years we’ve been in that “if it happens we’re ready” state of mind, but only recently have we actually decided it’s time to start trying. Well, I decided a long time ago, but he only decided recently that he’s really ready. I look at it like I’m 26 now, and I really want to have a family. Sure the puppy and the cat are great, but there’s nothing like having a baby in the house. I’ve always said I wanted to have my kids by 30, and if we start now theres a good chance of that still happening because I want 2 kids. Now I’ve just got so much to think about. There’s the prenatal stuff to keep up with like taking my extra vitamins and folic acid to make sure if I do get pregnant my body is prepared. Once I find out I’m pregnant I’ll have to start buying maternity clothes, and then there will be baby items, and eventually I’ll have to worry about clothing that will allow me to nurse. I might not be the most stylish person out there, but I want to make sure when the time comes and there is a baby in the house that I can still be comfortable enough yet stylish while caring for it. Shopping for a new mom or a mom to be?

No, (if the boy is reading this, you can pick yourself up off the ground) I’m not pregnant, but if I was I could want one of everything on here. I think this is a great concept and having seen my sister in law having so much trouble finding maternity wear, it is long past due. I remember her frustrations when she was searching for maternity clothes that had some ’style’ to them and didn’t make you feel like you were walking around in a potato sack. She would have loved a pair of pj’s designed especially for the nursing mother or a pair of pants that were fashionable. As it was, she just ordered herself some pajamas (and other clothes) that were a couple sizes larger to accommodate for the ‘expansion’ in certain areas and made do with a few maternity tops and pairs of jeans. This site has everything a newly expecting or a new mom could want from maternity clothes and nursing wear to diaper bags and baby slings. Unlike many maternity clothes out there, the ones on this site are stylish and yet, still look oh so comfy, and dare I say, sexy!! Yes, it is possible to look sexy while pregnant. Clean up the Basement before baby arrives

I realized that I was not ready for the baby to arrive when I went down to our basement and could not find what I was looking for. At that moment I knew I was in trouble, what could I do?
